What is the service?
4G Broadband Backup service is a 4G option to supply internet to your modem in the event of a disruption to your regular internet connection.
Where is it available?
It is available anywhere where nbn® or Opticomm has been rolled out. Some plans are not available with Opticomm. This mobile product provides a 4G coverage footprint of 98%. It will use our existing logic and be determined on a case by case basis based on Optus coverage.
What do I need to access the service?
You will need an existing and active Broadband nbn® or Opticomm connection and a supported hardware device. Please speak to our team if you would like us to quote a supported device.
Minimum term of the service
This service is over a month-to-month term.
What is included?
- A SIM Card for the service, and
- Hardware if quoted for the service.

Please note that this service may be restricted or be cancelled if you:
- Breach our terms and conditions,
- You are abusive to our staff,
- You fail to pay your bill.

Excess Usage
There is no excess usage charges.
Setup Fee
There is no setup fee for this service.
Equipment Fee
You may provide your own modem/router or we can provide one to you for purchase. Please contact our team if you require the purchase of a modem/router for your service.

You monthly costs may be different if additional items or services are added on. Please see the relevant critical information summary and contact our team for more information.
Exit Fee
We will charge you the last month of service if an exit is completed during a monthly billing cycle.
Changes to your Plan
We may make changes to your plan. If the change is materially detrimental to you, we will provide you with 30 days of written notice.
